Why Aharmantra
Aharmantra is not a startup born out of a trend.
It is a third-generation family business: rooted in a kirana store, shaped by decades of ground-level trade, and now presented in a form relevant to today's consumer.
1st generation · nearly 45 years ago
Where it all began
Our grandfather started Hastimal Gheewala & Sons in Chickpet, a traditional kirana store built on trust, relationships and honest trade. The shop later moved to V.V. Puram, carrying the same name and the same values.

2nd generation · growing the trade
A stronger foundation
Over time, that foundation grew stronger. Our father carried the legacy forward by entering the wholesale business of spices and dry fruits, supplying retailers, traders and manufacturers who depended on consistency and credibility.
3rd generation · today
Not disruption. Correction.
When the third generation stepped in, it wasn't to disrupt for the sake of disruption.
After spending over five years understanding the business from the ground up (procurement, quality variation, pricing pressures, storage practices and customer expectations), it became clear that the food industry does not need louder claims. It needs correction.
We are not trying to do something extraordinary. We are simply trying to take food back to its purest, most honest form.
Aharmantra exists to deliver consumable food products the way they are meant to be: without hidden adulteration, without misleading labels, and without compromises masked by marketing. What is written in the product description is exactly what you receive. No more, no less.
We believe trust should not be a premium feature. It should be the baseline.
